17-Story Office Tower Planned For Sunny Isles

Manuel Grosskopf is planning a 17-story office tower in Sunny Isles called Corner House, which his representatives say will allow the city to become a ‘true live, work and play community.
Grosskopf’s Corner House LLC submitted two separate site plans for the tower last month, both with a similar design. Each plan was similar in architecture and height, with the only difference being in the amount of square footage to be built (Grosskopf would be purchasing TDR’s.)
Records show that Grosskpf owns a 100% stake in the entity proposing the project. The project site is located at 18590 Collins Avenue, across from the Porsche Design Tower condo project.
The city commission had been scheduled to vote on the tower last month, but the vote was deferred. City staff had been recommending approval of the Arquitectonica designed project, saying that it was compatible with city planning and development regulations and required no variances.
