Comras Company Pays $1,000 PSF For Pinecrest Retail Property

Comras Company closed on a retail property located at 8833 S Dixie Highway in Pinecrest for $10.7 million.

Strategically positioned at the high-traffic intersection of South Dixie Highway (US-1) and Kendall Drive (SW 88th Street), the 10,725-square-foot property is anchored by AT&T and Mattress Firm. With exceptional visibility, signalized access and proximity to strong surrounding demographics, the site represents a prime investment opportunity in a true “Main and Main” location.

“This acquisition reflects our long-term belief in the strength and potential of the US-1 corridor,” said Michael Comras, CEO of Comras Company. “We’ve made several strategic investments along this corridor over the years, and this property, given its visibility, access and location at one of the busiest intersections in Dade County, is a perfect fit for our vision of bringing new energy and elevated retail experiences to the area.”

Comras plans to re-energize the center with cosmetic upgrades and a remerchandising strategy to attract dynamic new tenants. Spaces of 1,000 to 5,000 square feet are currently available.

Known for curating and transforming iconic retail destinations from Miami Worldcenter to CocoWalk, Michael Comras has had a defining role in South Florida’s retail landscape, working with national and local favorites from Apple, Sephora, Nike, Carrot Express, Anatomy Fitness and more.

“We’re seeing a significant shift in Pinecrest and the surrounding neighborhoods, with an influx of new residents, rising home values and a growing appetite for elevated retail experiences,” added Comras. “This property sits at the center of that momentum, and we see tremendous opportunity to bring in concepts that match the energy and expectations of the evolving community.”

Comras Company continues to be highly active in South Miami, representing landlords and top-tier brands in the area. The firm recently achieved a 90% lease-up of CREST at Pinecrest, a mixed-use community by Alta Developers, where Irma Figueroa and Max Gelband secured leases with JETSET Pilates and Las Rocas. Additionally, Comras Company recently brought to market a prime second-generation restaurant space at 5958 South Dixie Highway in the heart of South Miami, just steps from a wave of new culinary concepts, including Recoveco, Bar Bella, Kitchen 57 and The Grape Ape, signaling the neighborhood’s rise as a vibrant dining and lifestyle destination.
