15 Unbelievable Acts Of Kindness
I know this has absolutely nothing to do with the world of commercial real estate… yet EVERYTHING to do with the world of commercial real estate.
While we are submerged in square feet and leases and sales, we don’t always take the time to look beyond our world – at the REAL world.
This piece touched me as I hope it touches you. Read on for some amazing examples of random acts of selflessness. And remember… you ARE allowed to smile. 🙂

As soon as I read this, I thought, “This is the person I want to be.” So I started.
My daughter was in the hospital recently. As we waited for our car upon discharge yesterday morning, I noticed a woman getting a double stroller out of her trunk. I watched in hopes of getting a peak at her 2 little ones.
Instead, I saw this young mother filling the front seat of the stroller with multiple machines with hoses and oxygen tanks attached – equipment that her little six-month old required. She then placed that precious baby boy in the back seat of the stroller. She must have spent 10-15 minutes unloading everything. My heart broke.
I approached the woman and told her that even with my 2 daughters with special needs, I couldn’t imagine going through what she goes through everyday. I handed her a gift card to Carrabba’s Restaurant that I had in my bag and told her to enjoy a dinner on me. It clearly benefited me MUCH more than it will her.
We should all experience the POWER and GRATITUDE that random acts of kindness provide.
Let’s start a trend and start our own list… TODAY!
We’d like to post about something you’ve done selflessly for someone else.

…Your pic above of the note from parents to other passengers reminded me of something we had done on a long flight to Italy when my son, Dante, was about 16 months old.

He had had many flights by then and was usually good, but we were unsure how a transAtlantic flight would go. I made up a CD and made about 35 copies on my home computer. We entitled it ‘Dante’s Inferno’ with a picture of my son on one half, smiling away, and on the other half a picture of flames, lol.
I loaded it with 21 varied songs about boys (Lennon’s ‘Beautiful Boy’, Thorogood’s ‘Half A Boy And Half A Man’, etc.), flying (Sinatra’s ‘Fly Me To The Moon’, Alison Krauss’ ‘I’ll Fly Away’, etc.), and crying (SRV’s ‘The Sky Is Crying’, Tom Jones and Van Morrison doing ‘Sometimes We Cry’, Valens’ ‘Cry, Cry, Cry’, etc.) and handed them out to the flight crew and passengers within earshot.
While the trip over was relatively uneventful, the trip back was horrible… yet all the passengers were sympathetic, most coming by to tell us what a nice momento it was and how we shouldn’t fret. One even asked to steal not only the idea, but the actual CD by just relabeling it!
