Renowned Restaurant To Open 20,000 SF Flagship Location On Brickell

Colliers announced that internationally renowned restaurant concept Amazónico has secured over 20,000 square feet at 800 Brickell for its highly anticipated U.S. flagship location.

Executive Vice President Jonathan Carter, in partnership with the Darryl R. Kaplan Company, represented the landlord, Gatsby Florida, while Vice President Jenny Gefen represented the tenant, Amazónico, in negotiating the long-term lease.

“Set to become one of Brickell’s most sought-after culinary destinations, Amazónico brings a bold fusion of Latin American and Amazon-inspired cuisine, paired with an immersive ambiance and curated entertainment that redefine the standard for dining and nightlife,” said Gefen.

Initially founded in Madrid by famed restaurateurs Sandro Silva and Marta Seco, Amazónico has become one of Spain’s most celebrated gastronomic experiences, with acclaimed locations in London, Dubai, Monte Carlo, Madrid, and now Miami. Created to take guests on a sensory journey along the Amazon River, the restaurant blends Latin American spirit, opulent design, and refined hospitality with the rich cultural traditions of the region. Its menus, inspired by the diverse communities of the Amazon, are designed for sharing and showcasing an array of vibrant, distinctive flavors. Paired with inventive cocktails, atmospheric interiors, and live entertainment that embody the rhythm and energy of Miami, Amazónico offers a captivating culinary voyage.

Spanning over 20,000 square feet across three levels of indoor and outdoor space, Amazónico Miami welcomes guests into a tropical haven of lush greenery, volcanic stone, and woven textures. The ground-floor restaurant offers a vibrant dining experience, featuring an open kitchen, terrace seating, and nightly live music performances. On the second floor, the bar and lounge features mirrored ceilings, rich textures, a sushi counter, and curated cocktails, all set to the energy of resident DJs and percussionists. A private, jungle-inspired dining room is also available for more intimate occasions. Debuting in October, the third floor will open into a rooftop bar with sweeping views of Miami’s skyline, inviting guests to linger over cocktails beneath the city lights. Later this year, a separate nightlife club concept, Selva, will also open on the rooftop, channeling the untamed spirit of the jungle into an alluring hideaway of music, intrigue, and late-night energy.

“A powerhouse restaurant group has leased one of the most prominent corners in Brickell and truly made it its own. Amazónico is more than a dining venture; it’s a statement piece for the entire city of Miami,” said Carter. “This project exemplifies adaptive reuse at its best, transforming a pair of defunct bank branches and office space into a vibrant new flagship for a global culinary house.”

800 Brickell was purchased in 2019 by Gatsby Florida and underwent a complete redevelopment. Gatsby Florida, led by Nader Shalom and Babak Ebrahimzadeh, completely renovated the 210,000-square-foot property from a Class B office building into a mixed-use Class A trophy in the heart of Miami’s most dynamic neighborhood. Ownership completely redeveloped the first three floors of the building into true urban retail spaces, which made it the perfect location for Amazónico to call home. The firm also redeveloped all office spaces and common areas.
