Apartments With Hotel Services Planned In Davie

A 138-unit apartment complex with services similar to those of an extended-stay hotel is planned for Davie.
Construction is expected to begin in March on the WaterWalk Hotel Apartments, which will be located next to The Value Place, an extended-stay hotel at 5700 Reese Road in Davie.
The WaterWalk complex will have two four-story apartment buildings.
Half of the 138 units will be furnished and half unfurnished. Furnished units with hotel services  such as housekeeping and in-room breakfast service will rent for about $4,300 a month, and unfurnished units without hotel services will rent for about $2,000 a month.
The founder of WaterWalk Hotel Apartments is Jack DeBoer, who founded of such extended-stay hotel chains as Residence Inn, Summerfield Suites and Value Place. The first WaterWalk apartment complex opened last year in Wichita, Kansas. Wichita-based WaterWalk and Henley, a real estate investment firm in the United Kingdom, are investing in the development of the Davie apartment complex and five other properties. The other four WaterWalk properties are planned for locations in Lake Mary, located north of Orlando; Albany, New York, and Charlotte, North Carolina.
