Aventura Optima Plaza Awarded NAIOP's Project of The Year

Aventura Optima Plaza, a Class A office and medical complex located at 21500 Biscayne Boulevard in Aventura was recently awarded Project of the Year during NAIOP South Florida’s Awards of Excellence.
Randy Olen, Executive Vice President with Colliers International South Florida, exclusively represents the 114,000-SF project and accepted the award.
Additionally, the building has officially been awarded LEED Platinum certification by the US Green Building Council.
This certification is the highest internationally recognized distinction of excellence awarded to projects designed to minimize the impact on our environment.
With this designation, Aventura Optima Plaza becomes one of only two high-rise office buildings in Florida to be certified LEED Platinum, and the first in the City of Aventura.

“This LEED Platinum certification is a direct reflection of ownership’s dedication to the asset,” says Olen. “Quality tenants, including many off shore companies, appreciate the superior finishes and environmentally conscious design that this LEED Platinum project offers.”

Aventura Optima Plaza was designed by Mexican architectural firm Arquitectos Brom Asociados in association with locally based Architects Behar Font and Partners. Jonathan Burgess and Nabil Maroun, both of The Spinnaker Group, guided the process to achieve this designation.
Aventura Optima Plaza consists of a nine-story east tower fronting Biscayne Boulevard, a four-story west building, and a 457-space parking structure that links the two. The 20,000-SF garage rooftop features landscaped jogging trails and an exercise room exclusively for building tenants with showers and lockers. The project is accessible from Biscayne Boulevard and offers convenient drop-off areas at both the east and west building entrances. Other distinctive and sustainable features include solar panels on the southern facade, a floating terrace connecting the two buildings constructed using reclaimed wood with water features and attractive landscaping and a unique glass floor system in the common areas of the west building.
