Blackberry Renews 92,000 SF South Florida Lease

Ontario, Canada-based Blackberry Limited has renewed its 92,362 square foot lease at Sawgrass Pointe II, located at 1200 Sawgrass Corporate Parkway in Sunrise, according to undisclosed sources.
Terms of the deal were not disclosed.
The former global leader in the mobile industry, formerly known as Research In Motion Limited (RIM), occupies the entire 3-story Class A office building. Duke Realty Corp. owns the property and holds the multi-year lease.
CBRE’s Rick Miller, First Vice President and Tyler Harrison, Senior Associate, represented the tenant in the transaction.
The company has in recent years declined precipitously, in part because of intense competition from Apple’s iPhone and Google’s Android brands.
