Pointe Group Acquires Miami Property Management Firm

Pointe Group Advisors has acquired Miami-based Americas Property Management Corporation and expanded its South Florida portfolio with 4.7 million square feet of additional management contracts, announced Peter C. Gardner, Founder and CEO of the firm.
Financial terms were not disclosed.
In addition to the increase in management contracts, the acquisition of Americas Property Management will expand Pointe Group’s current services to include industrial property management.

“We are excited to announce the acquisition of Americas Property Management, which has an impressive list of clients and a roster of employees that includes veterans in the South Florida real estate market,” said Gardner. “The acquisition is part of Pointe Group’s strategic expansion to continue increasing our South Florida footprint and to broaden the asset classes that our firm focuses on.”

Americas Property Management has 10 employees, who will all be retained in similar positions at Pointe Group.
Properties that will now be part of the Pointe Group portfolio of managed properties include the Medley Commerce Center, the Aviation Business Center in Miami, and Webster Park near Miami International Airport.
Pointe Group Advisors has offices in Miami, Fort Lauderdale, Palm Beach, Sarasota and Tampa, with approximately 10 million square feet of commercial space under management and leasing with this acquisition.
Gardner and Pointe Group President William Holly were honored at NAIOP South Florida’s 2014 Awards of Excellence with the Office Sale of the Year award for representing the buyer, TA Associates Realty, in the $81 million, off-market purchase of the BAC Colonnade, a Class-A office building located in the heart of Coral Gables’ Central Business District. In addition, the firm won the 2013 ‘The Outstanding Building of the Year’ (TOBY) International Award by the Building Owners and Managers Association (BOMA) International in the category of office buildings under 100,000 square feet. The building award was the first in Fort Lauderdale and the Palm Beaches to win at the international level since the inception of the TOBY awards in 1985.
