Gulf Building Completes Construction Of 70,000 SF YMCA Center In Fort Lauderdale

Gulf Building LLC has completed construction of the new L.A. Lee YMCA Mizell Community Center for YMCA of South Florida at 1409 NW Sistrunk Blvd.

The four-story, 70,000-square-foot, mixed-use building features ground-floor stores along Sistrunk Boulevard, an outdoor swimming pool for community swim lessons and exercise, and a rooftop terrace.

The second and third floors are dedicated to wellness and fitness activities. They include an indoor basketball court and gymnasium, locker rooms, a black-box theater, youth zone, offices, and support space.

Broward College will use the entire fourth floor for classrooms, labs, and meeting space that promote educational goals, including general educational development degrees and college-entry preparation.
