We’re big fans of CRE Sources, you do a great job on the SFOBA Blog and we have every back issue of Black’s Guide. We will absolutely “like” your page. I am still not convinced that Facebook is a useful tool for marketing Commercial Real Estate. In fact we have started a Commercial Florida anti-facebook page at http://www.facebook.com/CommFla?ref=hl# . If you “Like” our page it’s a vote for not liking Facebook.

My opinion: It depends on what your expectations are. Facebook is not my preferred Social Media platform (LinkedIn in is #1, Twitter #2, and Facebook is a distant 3rd), however, I maintain a presence on Facebook for those that prefer to use Facebook as THEIR preferred platform. Simply put – I’m there because those I want to reach are there. And it’s not all for naught: My analytics numbers for January show that of the 306 referrals from other sites I received in the month of January, 68 came from Facebook. Am I landing big business deals from Facebook? Not necessarily. But Facebook is an essential part of my efforts to drive traffic to CRE-sources.com. It’s all about your expectations.
