Massive Mixed-Use Project Planned For Delray Beach

A mixed-use project including residences and a hotel could be built on a farming site in the Agricultural Reserve west of Delray Beach.

On April 12, the privately proposed text revision for Park West, formerly known as Tenderly Reserve, will be discussed by the Palm Beach County Planning Commission. The project would be situated on 61.2 acres located at 8225 Atlantic Avenue, 14600 Starkey Road, and a property on Atlantic Avenue’s southern edge, directly west of Florida’s Turnpike.

Morningstar Nursery, co-owned by Paul Z. Okean, Blane M. Okean and Alexandra P. Okean in West Palm Beach, owns the farmland and filed the application.

Park West would be seeking an exception from the essential housing zone, which would permit mixed-use and higher densities. The project would have 734 apartments, a 100,000 square foot, 150-room hotel, 200,000 square feet of retail and commercial space, and 100,000 square feet of warehouse/self-storage space.
