Miami Marlins, Cordish Partner To Develop Miami Live! Entertainment Destination
The Miami Marlins have partnered with The Cordish Companies to create a new entertainment hub, Miami Live!, at loanDepot Park, the team’s home stadium. Located in the heart of Little Havana, this exciting new destination is set to open in early 2026 and will offer a mix of indoor and outdoor dining, entertainment, and year-round activations to enhance the fan experience.
Bruce Sherman, the chairman and principal owner of the Marlins, highlighted the project’s commitment to the community, saying it will transform the ballpark’s campus into a vibrant space with dining, entertainment, and gathering areas for everyone to enjoy. The ballpark, which opened in 2012, is already home to major events like the World Baseball Classic, Caribbean Series, and Choque de Gigantes, in addition to Marlins home games.
The development of Miami Live! will also focus on sustainability and accessibility, incorporating energy-efficient lighting, accessible pathways, and community-driven art installations. Miami-Dade County Mayor Daniella Levine Cava emphasized that the project will be privately funded with no cost to taxpayers.
The Cordish Companies, known for its successful sports-anchored mixed-use developments, will bring its expertise to the project. The company has previously collaborated with sports franchises like the St. Louis Cardinals, Texas Rangers, and Philadelphia Flyers. David Cordish, the company’s chairman and CEO, stated that Miami Live! will create lasting economic benefits, generate jobs, and provide new, year-round experiences for the community.
Cordish’s Live! brand attracts over 60 million visitors annually across its destinations, and the company is also developing a 223-acre mixed-use project called The Pomp in Pompano Beach surrounding Harrah’s Pompano Beach Casino.
