New-To-Market Eatery To Open In Ft. Lauderdale

Mellow Mushroom Pizzeria has signed a 5,500-square-foot lease at The Manor at Flagler Village, located at 525 North Federal Highway in Ft. Lauderdale.
The restaurant is projected to open in the first quarter of 2015. This is Mellow Mushroom’s first Ft. Lauderdale location, and is the first tenant to sign at the retail center currently under construction.
CBRE’s Danny Diaz and Paco Diaz represented the landlord, The Related Group, and Dan Coyle of Stiles Realty represented the tenant.
“Mellow Mushroom is a new-to-market deal in a neighborhood that is in the middle of a boom –  market  rates in this area are reaching all-time highs,” said Danny Diaz.  “With the population of downtown Ft. Lauderdale poised to nearly double in the next five years, we anticipate strong interest from national retail tenants regarding the remainder of the space at this new mixed-use development.”

The Manor at Flagler Village consists of 382 luxury residences with expansive amenities and a mix of studio, one-, two- and three-bedroom apartments. The retail component features a landscaped courtyard for outdoor dining and live music and is accessible via key access points on N.E. 5th Street and N.E. 6th Street. It is one of the only retail projects that is part of an apartment complex south of Sunrise Boulevard.
