Scarlett Harper Commercial Launches With Founding Production Team
Scarlett Harper Commercial, a next-generation commercial real estate brokerage, announced its formal launch in South Florida alongside the appointment of Sebastian Misiewicz as Founding Senior Vice President and Matthew Lago as Vice President. The two join as the firm’s founding production team, marking the first senior broker hires at Scarlett Harper and an early signal that the firm’s model is resonating with experienced producers.
Scarlett Harper Commercial was created as an AI-native, systems-driven brokerage model designed for how modern commercial real estate producers operate today. The model combines senior broker leadership, firm-level execution support, and AI-enabled workflows across research, underwriting, marketing preparation, buyer targeting, and transaction coordination. The firm is founded on a single conviction: that brokers perform best when technology, operating discipline, and non-transactional leadership support are built into the firm from the ground up. Founded by Spencer Scalzitti, Managing Principal and Broker, the firm was architected with those principles as core infrastructure from the beginning.
“Scarlett Harper was built to prove that a brokerage can move faster, support brokers better, and execute at a higher level when technology, operations, and leadership are designed together from day one,” said Scalzitti.
The firm first brought on David Bateman as Managing Director for his operational leadership, broker implementation experience, and 20-year track record including senior roles at CBRE and Avison Young. With the management layer in place, the firm is now adding Misiewicz as its first senior producer, pairing the firm’s operating model with senior production experience and market execution.
“We built this model around a specific kind of producer,” said Bateman, Managing Director of Scarlett Harper Commercial. “Someone who has operated at a high level, understands what producers need to execute consistently, and sees the opportunity to help build a brokerage model designed around broker productivity from day one. Sebastian is precisely that person, and his decision to join is validation that the model is resonating with the right producers.”
Sebastian Misiewicz – Senior Vice President
Misiewicz brings a track record built across three recognized commercial real estate firms. He began his career at Marcus & Millichap, where he specialized in the acquisition and disposition of office and industrial assets in Miami-Dade County. As part of the Silver Group, he participated in transactions totaling nearly $500 million in commercial real estate transactions, helping establish the team as one of the region’s most productive.
He subsequently joined CBRE’s Fort Lauderdale Capital Markets team as Senior Associate, where the team was involved in nearly $1 billion in commercial real estate sales. His Capital Markets experience sharpened his ability to execute complex transactions across industrial, office, and alternative asset classes.
Most recently a Principal at Lee & Associates South Florida, Misiewicz has focused on industrial and office investment sales and leasing across the Broward and Palm Beach County markets. His recent transactions include a $17 million charter school campus sale in Fort Pierce and a $6 million industrial transaction in Lake Worth Beach.
“I’ve operated inside three different firms, and each one taught me something about what brokers need to produce at a high level,” said Misiewicz. “What Scarlett Harper has built is different in a fundamental way: the infrastructure exists to serve the broker, not the other way around. I’m excited to be part of building this model from the ground up.”
Misiewicz holds a degree from the University of Gdansk and is an active member of the South Florida commercial real estate community.
Matthew Lago – Vice President
Lago joins as Vice President with a focus on investment sales across Palm Beach County. He brings a background in commercial lending and business banking — including roles at Wells Fargo and BHG Financial — that informs a transactional approach grounded in deal underwriting and client financial advisory. He joined Lee & Associates South Florida in September 2024 and was promoted to Vice President in March 2026, a recognition tied directly to his work alongside Misiewicz on notable transactions including the Fort Pierce charter school sale.
“The fact that both Sebastian and Matthew are making this move together says something,” said David Bateman. “It’s not one producer taking a chance on a new model — it’s a producing team that looked at what we built and decided this was where they wanted to grow. That’s the proof of concept we were working toward.”
