South Florida Contracts For Future Construction Rise
South Florida contracts for future construction rose in April, with non-residential contracts skyrocketing 99 percent, according to McGraw-Hill Construction.
Tri-county non-residential future construction contracts rose in April to $206.5 million from $103.7 million the same time last year. Residential future construction contracts increased 15 percent to $141.8 million, compared to $123.3 million in the prior year period.
Statewide, non-residential future contracts for construction rose 19 percent to $503 million from $424.5 million and future residential contracts climbed 7 percent to $880.2 million in April, compared to $823.7 million in April of 2011.
