A prominent 21-story office tower in downtown Fort Lauderdale has changed hands, with its new owner planning extensive upgrades to reposition the property in an increasingly competitive office market. The acquisition adds to a growing portfolio of South Florida investments.
The project replaces a formerly underutilized office property and aligns with the City of Fort Lauderdale’s long-term vision for Uptown Urban Village, which is aimed at bringing more residences and mixed-use development to the area near the Cypress Creek Tri-Rail Station and Fort Lauderdale Executive Airport.
Scheduled to break ground in late 2025, Grover Corlew has already invested more than $10 million in interior renovations at 600 and 700 Hillsboro Boulevard and signed leases for more than 20,000 sq. ft. of office space with several big-name tenants.
The project will reinvigorate the nearly three acres of underutilized parking lots behind Grover Corlew’s 2401 Atlantic and 2335 Atlantic office buildings.
