TSA Inks Renewal Deal For 30,000 Square Feet

Cushman & Wakefield negotiated a 30,000-square-foot lease with the Transportation Security Administration (TSA) at Doral Concourse.
Managing Director Gordon Messinger, representing building owner DRA Advisors, LLC, secured the long-term lease renewal in the Class A office building located at 8400 Doral Boulevard.
 

“Doral Concourse remains an ideal fit for the TSA’s South Florida operations,” said Messinger. “The building’s proximity to Miami International Airport, accessibility and updated finishes drove the agency’s decision to secure this large block of space on a long-term basis.”

Doral Concourse is a six-story, 240,950-square-foot office building housing notable tenants such as Starboard Cruise Services, Humana, Marriott, General Mills and Wells Fargo.
Ownership is nearing completion of a capital improvement program consisting of renovations to the ground-floor lobby, upper-floor common areas and entryway exterior. The renovations have helped drive occupancy in the building well over 90 percent.
Doral Concourse offers a structured parking garage with the highest parking ratio in the submarket at 5.0 spaces per 1,000 square feet, according to a release. The building is located in the heart of Doral.
The TSA is a federal agency created in response to events of September 11, 2001. Its stated mission is to protect the nation’s transportation systems and ensure freedom of movement for travelers and commerce. The TSA is headquartered in Pentagon City, Virginia, and employs more than 55,000 people nationwide. The agency houses executive and administrative offices at Doral Concourse.
