Turnberry To Reposition Aventura's Loehmann's Fashion Island

Turnberry Associates is set to make dramatic changes to one of its Aventura retail properties.
The company announced a partnership Tuesday with investors advised by Prudential Real Estate Investors to reposition the 187,000-square-foot Loehmann’s Fashion Island into Town Center Aventura.
Plans call for the repositioned property to include a 34,000-square-foot Saks Fifth Avenue OFF 5TH store and several undisclosed retailers.
Construction is scheduled to begin in January 2013, with a completion target of September 2013.
Loehmann’s is located at Biscayne Boulevard and 187th Street, south of the Turnberry-owned Aventura Mall.
