Uruguayan Investor Buys Nearly An Entire Block North Of Downtown Miami

A Uruguayan businessman has quietly been assembling nearly an entire square block near the Omni.
17th & Second Avenue Properties Corp, controlled by Enrique Manhard and Vivane Sasson de Manhard, now owns nearly 1.4 acres, including the historic S&S Diner. Only the Padel ball courts on the corner of the block have a separate owner.
Manhard is the founder of Chic Parisien, S.A.
A 70-year-old church on the property was recently demolished.
In 2005, the Urbana condo tower was proposed for the site by a previous owner, including the Padel and S&S property.
