ANF Group Announces Key Executive Promotions

ANF Group announced the promotions of several top-level executives, including Alberto ‘Al’ Fernandez to the role of Chief Executive Officer (CEO).  Nelson Fernandez is now President of ANF Development and Alberto Gil is now President of ANF Construction.

These promotions reflect the company’s positioning for continued growth and success.

Fernandez steps into the CEO role after leading the company as President since 1992. He began his construction career over 40 years ago with ANF Group, founded in 1981 by his father Alberto Fernandez Sr.

In his new role, Al will focus on strengthening the company’s core values and purpose, ensuring that the enterprise remains aligned with executing its vision and strategic objectives. He will play a crucial role in shaping the company’s future, exploring new business opportunities, enhancing operational efficiency, and maintaining strong relationships with partners.

Nelson Fernandez is now President of ANF Development, stepping up from his previous role as Executive Vice President. With a tenure of 40 years at ANF, Fernandez has accumulated extensive experience in the development of professional and medical office space. His primary focus has been on real estate development, where he has successfully developed over a million square feet of commercial space in South Florida. Additionally, Fernandez has been instrumental in initiating the ANF Foundation, reflecting the company’s commitment to philanthropy and community engagement. Under his leadership, the ANF Foundation is ready to launch this year, furthering the company’s philanthropic goals. His comprehensive experience covers all aspects of real estate projects, ranging from land acquisitions and entitlements to financing, leasing, and property management.

Assuming the role of President of ANF Construction is Alberto Gil, who previously served as Senior Vice President. During his 38 years at ANF, Gil has successfully managed and completed more than 100 projects worth over $2.5 Billion in construction revenue. In his new role, Gil will collaborate with shared services, ensuring the alignment of functional strategies to not only meet but exceed our business objectives, creating value for our partners. Alongside this, a key focus is working with project leaders to nurture and develop our young construction professionals, fostering their growth in this dynamic industry. Gil’s dual focus on aligning business goals and developing young talent is key to our success and leadership in the construction industry.
