Azor Advisory Services Announces New Retail Leases In Broward County Totaling 14,000 SF

Azor Advisory Services, a full-service real estate firm led by The Canvassing Queen™ Beth Azor, announced more than 14,000 square feet in new leases at three properties it owns and operates in suburban Broward County.

In Sunrise, three new tenants have moved into the Sawgrass Commons located at 13001 West Sunrise Boulevard:

• A Shade Above Window Fashions, which sells and installs window coverings, has leased 2,744 square feet
• Billiards Florida has leased a 6,000-square-foot showroom for pool tables, shuffleboard tables, game tables and other game furniture
• PG Kitchen & Bath, which offers kitchen and bath remodeling services, leased 1,373 square feet

In Davie, Gala Therapeat, a Hollywood-based health-food restaurant, has opened a second location with 1,750 square feet at the Shoppes of Rolling Hills. Bach Jewelers, a long-time tenant, has signed another long-term lease at the retail center located on South University Drive, one mile south of I-595.

Nearby in Davie, Playa Bowls (1,350 square feet) and Goat Hobbies (1,200 square feet) have leased space at Shoppes of Arrowhead at 2531 S. University Dr.

“These leases underscore how in the retail world, 2021 is going to be the year of mom-and-pop tenants,” Azor said. “These independent businesses weathered the storm last year and are moving forward with expansion plans. They will greatly benefit from the continued domestic migration to South Florida from high-tax states.” 

Azor continued: “We are seeing a big trend of independent retailers requesting pop-up space to test the market before committing to long term leases. We have so far had a lot of luck with that strategy.  Considering the world we live in now, I think it’s critical that owners get creative and work with small businesses to fill their centers.”
