Bob Orban / Steve Smith Team Up For 11,000SF Relocation/Expansion
Empire Investment Holdings signed a long-term lease for 11,000 square feet, more than doubling the size of its Miami headquarters at Waterford at Blue Lagoon.
The new headquarters will be at 1000 Waterford Way. The investment firm, which currently occupies about 4,500 square feet at 703 Waterford Way, is expected to take occupancy in its new space by March 2012.
Empire Investment will be among a number of prominent tenants in the building, including Avaya, Marriott International, Volkswagen and Procter & Gamble.
Studley Senior VP Bob Orban represented Empire Investment Holdings in the transaction. Steve Smith of The Hogan Group represented the building’s landlord, TIAA-CREF.
According to Orban, the transaction featured a concession package that includes rental abatement and a tenant improvement allowance.
Empire Investment Holdings’ portfolio comprises six operating companies serving more than 10,000 customers worldwide. Its international footprint includes 22 facilities encompassing more than 1 million square feet of space with more than 1,000 employees.
