Bridge Industrial Wins At BOMA Southern Regional Competition, Advances To International Level Competition

Bridge Industrial (“Bridge”), a privately-owned, vertically integrated real estate operating company and investment manager, is thrilled to announce its Bridge Point Commerce Center business park in Miami Gardens, has won BOMA Southern Region‘s prestigious The Outstanding Building of the Year (TOBY) award in the industrial buildings category.

The award was presented at the BOMA Southern Region Conference recently held in Orlando.

The competition involved a multi-state semi-final with 16 local BOMA chapters across the Southern region of the United States. Bridge Point Commerce Center emerged as one of the winners and will now advance to compete at the international level of TOBY Awards, which will take place at the BOMA International Conference in Kansas City, MO this June. This latest regional win adds to Bridge Point Commerce Center’s previous win at the local BOMA Miami-Dade awards competition earlier this year, showcasing the property’s commitment to providing world-class facilities and services to its tenants.

“We are thrilled to receive this regional recognition for our outstanding Bridge Point Commerce Center in Miami Gardens and advance to the next round of competition,” said Kevin Carroll, Partner, Southeast Region, Bridge Industrial. “At Bridge Industrial, we are committed to delivering world-class facilities and services to our tenants, and this award is a testament to the hard work and dedication of our team. We remain focused on providing inviting work environments for today’s business leaders and setting the standard for industrial real estate solutions in the region.”

Strategically located between Miami-Dade and Broward Counties on a 186-acre site at 4310 NW 215th Street, Bridge Point Commerce Center is a Class-A industrial park that will encompass 2.7 million square feet at full build out. The business park offers Florida Turnpike frontage with 155,310 cars passing per day. Phase I, consisting of three buildings totaling 1.1 million square feet of industrial space, was delivered in 2019 and is fully leased to a prestigious list of tenants including CITY Furniture, one of Florida’s largest home furnishing retailers, and HapCor, one of the leading grocery distributors to the Caribbean and Latin America, among others. Divisible to 80,000 square feet, Phase II features two buildings that are 794,230 square feet each with 36’ clear ceiling heights. The park’s location is
equidistant from Miami International Airport and Fort Lauderdale International Airport and offers immediate access to all points in South Florida via the Florida Turnpike and I-75.

The TOBY Awards are the commercial real estate industry’s highest recognition, honoring excellence in commercial building management and operations. During the competition, all facets of a building’s operations are thoroughly evaluated by an expert team of industry professionals—from community involvement and site management to environmental and green policies and procedures.

Bridge is one of South Florida’s most active industrial real estate developers. Since 2012, the company has acquired more than 700 acres in 20 separate transactions across South Florida. Bridge has delivered and/or has under construction nearly 11 million square feet of Class-A industrial space regionwide. Bridge continues to seek opportunities to develop modern industrial facilities in the most supply-constrained core infill industrial markets that can meet the steady demand for last-mile and next-day delivery.
