CBRE Promotes Gian Rodriguez To Senior Managing Director

CBRE announced that Gian Rodriguez has been promoted to Senior Managing Director.

In this expanded role, Rodriguez will be responsible for the strategic direction and day-to-day leadership of CBRE’s Miami and Ft. Lauderdale offices. He will also continue to oversee the company’s industrial platform across South Florida.

Rodriguez is taking over the Ft. Lauderdale market for Josh Bank, who previously led the office while also serving as Executive Managing Director and Market Leader for Florida. Bank will continue to oversee Florida and work closely with Rodriguez and Susan Bands, Managing Director and Market Leader for Palm Beach County, to drive the growth of CBRE’s Advisory Services lines of business in South Florida.

“In just over a year, Gian has made a sizable impact on our business in Miami,” said Bank. “His leadership skills, industry knowledge and ability to leverage the advantages of CBRE’s platform have driven exceptional outcomes for our professionals and clients. I’m confident he’ll continue that success in Ft. Lauderdale, and I look forward to seeing him grow as a leader in our organization.”

Rodriguez joined CBRE in January 2024 from Cushman & Wakefield, where he was a Managing Principal for its South Florida offices. Prior to that, he was a market-leading brokerage professional, representing prominent institutional owners and users in South Florida. As a producer, he completed industrial sale and lease transactions valued at more than $2 billion.

Throughout his career, Rodriguez has been recognized for his work by industry associations and area publications. The South Florida Business Journal named him among the region’s Power Leaders in 2023 and 2024 and honored him in its 40 Under 40 program in 2019.

Rodriguez is actively involved in industry associations and currently sits on the board of directors for NAIOP’s South Florida chapter. A Miami native, he is fluent in both English and Spanish.
