City National Bank of Florida Inks 145,000 SF Deal For New HQ

In one of the biggest office lease deals in South Florida since 2023, City National Bank of Florida has signed a lease for 144,878 square feet to move its headquarters to a new location within Coral Gables.

The bank will relocate to a 15-story building at 2701 South Le Jeune Road, a move confirmed by a bank representative. This lease marks the largest in the region since UKG secured 155,000 square feet in Weston two years ago.

Currently, the bank’s headquarters are located just a block away at 2855 South Le Jeune Road, in a 124,168-square-foot building it owns.

The bank plans to grow its workforce by 20% over the next year and a half, and the new location will help consolidate its staff currently spread across Downtown Miami, the Brickell Financial District, and its present Coral Gables office.

The leasing deal was brokered by CBRE’s Matthew Goodman, Jeff Gordon, and Ramon Hernandez for the bank, while Eric Groffman, Cameron Tallon, and Randy Carballo from CBRE represented the building owner.

The property, purchased for $62 million in 2009 by Amancio Ortega’s Pontegadea firm, was built in 2008 and spans 551,110 square feet. Formerly home to Bacardi’s headquarters, the building is undergoing a major renovation. It will be rebranded as the City National Financial Center in 2026 when the bank moves in. Current tenants include Quirch Foods and an Infiniti dealership.
