Colliers International Florida Adds Seasoned Debt and Equity Broker

Colliers International Florida announced that Shannon Rex has joined the firm as Executive Managing Director of the Debt and Equity Finance practice in South Florida. In this role, Shannon joins Colliers’ mortgage banking operation that focuses on the placement of debt and equity to the capital markets and private investors.

Shannon brings more than 20 years of experience to Colliers, and he has been involved in the acquisition, disposition, and capitalization of more than $2 billion in commercial real estate that spans all asset types and capital structures.

Prior to joining Colliers, Shannon most recently held the position of Senior Director with  Walker & Dunlop. He also served as principal of the boutique mortgage banking firm of Dockerty Romer & Co., a senior analyst with Holliday Fenoglio Fowler (HFF), and held a senior role as CFO for the real estate development firm of HHC Florida, LLC, which owned and managed a portfolio of hospitality assets on behalf of a south Florida based family office.

Shannon earned his Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration from Florida Atlantic  University. He is an active member of Mortgage Bankers Association, Commercial Real  Estate Finance Counsel, and International Council of Shopping Centers (ICSC).
