JLL Adds Two CBRE Vets As Senior Managing Directors To Support Growth Of Palm Beach Office Market

JLL announced the hiring of commercial real estate industry veterans Kevin Probel and Kevin McCarthy as Senior Managing Directors.

Probel and McCarthy will be based in West Palm Beach and focus on growing strategic, integrated, and comprehensive commercial real estate advisory and transaction services for tenants and landlords.

In their new roles as senior managing directors, Probel and McCarthy will continue to focus on representing owners and landlords of office properties providing strategic real estate services to building owners and national corporate tenants with a focus on the growth and development of the firm’s West Palm Beach office. Additionally, as a result of his experience and extensive institutional relationships throughout his career, Probel will be an integral part of the Capital Markets platform across the State of Florida, with special emphasis on South Florida.

Both Probel and McCarthy join JLL from CBRE where they spent the last six years as First Vice Presidents of Transaction and Advisory Services. During that time, they completed over 320 leasing transactions, totalling 1.4 million square feet and over $250 million in lease consideration throughout Palm Beach County.

Probel’s experience in commercial real estate spans nearly three decades, with a specialization in office landlord and tenant representation along with acquisition and dispositions of office buildings and land. He previously served as a Vice President with JLL for six years and five years with The Related Companies in West Palm Beach.

Prior to that, Probel started his career at Prentiss Properties Trust where he spent 12 years and was responsible for the leasing, management, and construction of over four million square feet of office product throughout the Metro DC Area. He graduated from the University of Florida with a bachelor’s degree in finance.

With over 25 years of industry experience, McCarthy specializes in office landlord and tenant representation for the Palm Beach area, offering expertise in site selection, acquisitions, dispositions, strategic planning, financial analysis, market research and new business development.

Prior to his time at CBRE, McCarthy spent six years with JLL where he was as Senior Vice Presidents leading JLL’s Palm Beach Brokerage division after the company’s acquisition of The Staubach Company, where he spent five years advising clients on the full range of occupancy issues and managing all aspects of the transaction process in the downtown Chicago office market. McCarthy also spent six years as a broker with Lee Real Estate, Inc. He received his bachelor’s degree in economics from Hobart and William Smith Colleges.
