JLL Arranges 53,000-Square-Foot Headquarters Expansion

JLL announced that NationsBenefits®, a leading supplemental benefits company providing managed care organizations with innovative healthcare solutions, has expanded its headquarters with the addition of over 53,000 square feet of space at 1801 NW 66th Ave. in Plantation.

The tenant now occupies the building’s first and second floor spanning over 95,000 square feet of office space, accounting for the majority of the building.

Ryan Nunes, Executive Vice President of JLL South Florida; Alan Kleber, Senior Managing Director; and John Marshall, Managing Director, represented the tenant.

Last year, NationsBenefits moved its headquarters into the first floor of the newly renovated space located at in Plantation, Florida. This expansion to the second floor now brings the 1801 building to full occupancy, and it supports the company’s continued growth with future strategic plans.

The 250 Florida-based private companies ranked on this prestigious list showed an average growth rate of 302% between 2016 and 2018, employing more than 56,000 people and adding $12.6 billion to the Florida economy.

According to JLL’s latest Life Sciences Emerging Markets Index report, the South Florida region saw a 2.4% acceleration in employment growth in life sciences employment, calculated from the average growth between 2010-2015 and 2015-2020. The report outlines the correlation between employment acceleration and increased activity in the Life Sciences sector in South Florida.
