Stacey Glassman Mizener will join Tony Cho and Metro 1 as Vice President of Marketing and Business Development on July 1st, 2013.
Stacey will manage all aspects of marketing, public relations and business development, including strategy, messaging, partnerships and community relations.
“I have accomplished the challenging goals I had set for myself with New World Symphony and felt a strong desire to apply my skillset in a fresh arena, while aligning myself with somebody I have the utmost respect for,” said Glassman.      “I have always been impressed with Tony Cho’s vision for shaping the emerging urban core neighborhoods including Wynwood, Downtown and the Upper East Side.  He has built a unique company with a focus on smart, sustainable solutions and big-picture thinking.  Tony is a visionary and I am excited to join the Metro 1 team and bring my experience to achieve an ever greater sense of community.”
Glassman served as the Associate Vice President of Development for the New World Symphony for nine years, fundraising, securing major sponsorships, raising money for the Capital Campaign for the Frank Gehry Campus, opening the New World Center and recruiting and managing the Friends Board and Executive Committee.  She is the Founder of the now famed young professional group, Friends of New World Symphony, developing a new base for community outreach, which is responsible for bringing significant revenue for the Symphony. “Stacey’s contacts, art of deal-making, public speaking, business negotiations, strong community relationships and creative thinking are skills that will transfer seamlessly into her new role as well as the real estate industry at large, while bringing a fresh perspective,” said Tony Cho. “We are excited and fortunate to have Stacey on our team. She is an asset to Metro 1 and the community.”
Prior to the New World Symphony, Stacey worked for the Miami City Ballet, raising funds, producing special events and engaging younger patrons.
