NGKF Lures Top Broker From Savills Studley To Join Florida Leadership

Greg KatzGreg Katz joined Newmark Grubb Knight Frank in Miami after leaving Savills Studley, where he was the executive VP of its Florida market.
After leading Studley‘s Florida commercial real estate brokerage out of Miami since 2001, Katz has been named vice chairman of brokerage services for NGKF in Miami. He’s the co-leader of the company’s Florida region, along with Vice Chairman Patrick Duffy.
At the same time, Tim Capps, Savills Studley’s leader in Raleigh, N.C., joined NGKF to take over the same market.
According to NGKF, the team of Katz and Capps has transacted more than 10 headquarters leases for more than 1.5 million square feet just in the past two years. Their clients included Spirit Airlines, Gunster, Bluegreen Corp. and SBA Communications.

“Joining NGKF was a pivotal and strategic decision for us,” Katz said in a news release. “NGKF, with its affiliates Cantor Fitzgerald and CCRE, allows us to broaden our intellectual capital, as well as expand our platform by adding a full range of value-added services for our clients both locally and nationally.”

NGKF ranked 14th on the Business Journal’s list of Commercial Real Estate Brokerages with sale and lease volume of $203 million in 2013.
