NY RE Veteran To Lead CBRE’S South Florida Operations

CB Richard Ellis (CBRE) today announced that Kenneth Krasnow will join the firm as Managing Director overseeing the Broward and Palm Beach County offices as well as providing strategic support to statewide leader, Mary Jo Eaton, on business development and other ventures to grow the firm’s operations and market share in the South Florida region. He will assume his new role on May 16th and will be housed in the Boca Raton office. Rick Miller, who was overseeing these two offices, will rejoin the firm’s South Florida brokerage team.
“Ken brings to our South Florida operations solid real estate experience coupled with a superb track record of leadership. As market conditions show signs of improvement in South Florida, we are poised for growth. Ken will play an integral role in helping us leverage these opportunities and find ways to serve our clients even more effectively,” said Mary Jo Eaton, Senior Managing Director for CBRE overseeing the State of Florida.
Krasnow brings to CBRE more than two decades of experience in commercial real estate services. Most recently, he was Managing Director at Massey Knakal Realty Services, the leading investment sales firm in New York City. There he stabilized and grew its Brooklyn office, increasing its market share by a third. He was also responsible for firm-wide marketing and public relations.
Prior to that position, he was Chief Operating Officer of Apartment Realty Advisors in Boca Raton where he doubled the brokerage staff and opened offices for the firm in Tampa and Orlando. He also held executive positions for Trammell Crow Corporation and Cushman & Wakefield (Cushman) in the New York City area. At Cushman, where he served for 18 years, he oversaw the New York area profit center after successfully managing its NY suburban offices. After the 9/11 attacks, Krasnow brought Cushman’s New York region back to record revenues of approximately $200 million. He began his career as a leasing broker at Cushman and was responsible for more than three million square feet of Class A building agencies in New York City.
“CBRE is the recognized leader in commercial real estate, not only in Florida but worldwide. With an improving economy, there will be meaningful opportunities ahead for our clients and employees, and I’m looking forward to the opportunity of leveraging my experience to help CBRE increase its brand dominance,” Krasnow said.
