Saks Fifth Avenue To Anchor Brickell City Centre With 107,000 SF Store

Saks Fifth Avenue is the first retailer to sign on to the $1.05 billion mixed-use Brickell City Centre project, which is now under construction.

The retailer’s 107,000-square-foot store will spread across three floors when it opens in fall 2016, the Miami Herald reported. It will be the most centrally located of Saks’ stores in Miami-Dade County. Saks’ other locations are in Dadeland Mall and Bal Harbour Shops.

Once completed, Brickell City Centre will feature more than 565,000 square feet of shopping and entertainment, two residential towers, a 263-room hotel with 89 serviced apartments, a wellness center and office space.

Swire Properties has been building the mixed-used project since 2013 and expects its first phase of construction to be complete by the end of 2015. The second phase will begin in 2016.
