Southeast Financial Center Embarks On Extensive Lobby Renovations

Southeast Financial Center, Florida’s tallest and largest office tower and plaza totaling 1.225 million square feet in the heart of Miami’s Central Business District, announced today the building will undergo extensive enhancements to its three main lobbies as part of a commitment to retain the Tower’s landmark stature.
As one of Miami’s most iconic buildings with more than one million square feet occupied, Southeast Financial Center offers enduring value, quality and prestige to the business community. The interior enhancements will complement the recently renovated plaza and exterior and new retail tenant mix, solidifying Southeast Financial Center as the ideal urban location for quality-driven tenants.
As part of the authenticity and acknowledgment of success of the original design for the past 27 years, the building has retained the services of architectural firm, Jacobs, whose project team includes members who led the initial conceptualization of the building and
its interiors.
“Southeast Financial Center was designed by one of the premier architectural firms in the world, and we are beyond pleased to continue to work with those individuals on the lobby renovations,” said Jay Leone, General Manager with Jones Lang LaSalle, the exclusive management and leasing agent for the property. “The Tower will continue to set the benchmark for professional and personal success, with our continued commitment to retaining the prominence associated with the most significant business address in the region.”
The improvements to the Lower, West and East Lobbies, which totals more than 17,632 square feet, will bring important enhancements to the daily life of tenants and ensure that Southeast Financial Center continues to be responsive to the needs of today’s business community. Exuding a fresh new sense of arrival and hospitality, colors, materials and lighting were meticulously selected that will add balance, warmth and urbanity to the elegant spaces.
Keeping with the sustainability and energy efficient standards to which Southeast Financial Center was built and certified LEED Gold, materials selected for the renovation will be environmentally friendly and efficient.

About Southeast Financial Center:  Located at 200 South Biscayne Boulevard in downtown Miami, Southeast Financial Center is comprised of two buildings: a 55-story Class A Office Tower distinguished by its striking “saw-tooth” design on the northeast corner of the façade and a 15 story Annex Building which houses the popular Downtown Athletic Club and 1,200 parking spaces. Connecting the Office Tower and Annex buildings is a 30,000 square foot outdoor plaza landscaped with shade trees and a variety of lush native plantings. A steel and glass canopy attached 150 feet from the ground provides a unique architectural connection between the two structures, and adds an aesthetically pleasing ambiance to the plaza.
