Southeast Financial Unveils Lobby Renovations

Southeast Financial Center announced the unveiling of its extensive renovations to the building’s Lower, West and East Lobbies, totaling 17,632 square feet.
As part of the ongoing commitment to retain the Tower’s landmark stature, the overhaul of the lobby combined forward-thinking aesthetic and technological advances. Jacobs Architecture and Knoll Furniture (whose project team includes members who led the initial conceptualization of the building and its interiors in 1984) partnered to oversee aesthetic design.

To ensure that tenants have the ability to conduct business at a rate that outpaces human capabilities, technological advancements were implemented at the building.
Upgraded infrastructure, including Unlimited Fiber Optic Broadband Connectivity, Direct connectivity to the NAP of the Americas, Video conferencing capabilities in East Lobby, Business Continuity & Disaster Recovery, and common area wi-fi.
The lower lobby features a 700 square foot video wall. Showcasing community focused art and information of interest, breaking news and key sporting events, the Cesearstone surrounded video wall is an eye-catching addition.
In the lobbies, the focus was on selecting current and timeless designs that are specifically complimentary to the original architectural period of the building.

-Two Anigre wood structures, custom designs, canopy the east and west lobby ceilings (2,400 SF in west lobby, 560 SF in east lobby).

-A central column within the lower lobby will be inlaid with Byzantine smalti (handmade glass). The European tradition, now produced in a studio in Mexico, will feature shades of yellows and gold, with paler tones at the base of the column and transitioning to warmer, brighter amber colors at the ceiling.

Keeping with the sustainability and energy efficient standards to which Southeast Financial Center was built and certified LEED Gold, materials selected for the renovation are environmentally friendly and efficient.

-All lighting fixtures are energy efficient, including LED (light emitting diode) used for the accent lighting in the west and lower lobbies, the most energy efficient lighting available.

-The carpet, designed by Jacobs and produced by Scott Group, is wool, a renewable resource.

-Much of the furniture, produced in the U.S. by Knoll, a leader in sustainable furniture, is sustainable, including recycled glass on tabletops.

“The technological advances and aesthetic upgrades at Southeast Financial Center have set a new benchmark for Class A office space in the CBD,” said Jay Leone, General Manager with Jones Lang LaSalle, the exclusive management and leasing agent for the property. “Being proactive in our approach to the renovations – going beyond the visual components – will bring important enhancements to the daily life of tenants and ensure that Southeast Financial Center exceeds the needs of today’s business community. This new technological connectivity ensures business advancement, ease of use and peace of mind.”
The interior enhancements will complement the recently renovated plaza and exterior and new retail tenant mix.
