The company has been a tenant for 23 years.
Representing the Park in both transactions were Ryan Goggins and Peter Apol of Sunbeam Properties and Jonathan Kingsley of Colliers. John Marshall of JLL represented one of the tenants.
VSRE has also been contracted to develop apartment buildings, retail, and offices.
The 56,072-square-foot building is located within Miramar Park of Commerce.
Colliers’ Executive Managing Director Jonathan Kingsley and Managing Director Jarred Goodstein represented Sunbeam Development, the landlord, in the transaction. CBRE’s Gordon Messinger represented Amerant Bank, the tenant.
With the expansion, the company now occupies 104,996 square feet.
The Park has become a prominent hub of healthcare related companies with Memorial Healthcare most recently renewing its lease for 44,832 sq. ft. of IT flex-office space.
In his new position, he is responsible for industrial acquisitions throughout the southeastern U.S. and will oversee leasing and marketing for Sunbeam’s existing South Florida portfolio, including the Miramar Park of Commerce.
The acquisition increases the company’s South Florida portfolio to 101 buildings totaling over 5.2 million square feet.
