The Hogan Group has signed a new lease with Airbus Americas for 9,000 square feet in Waterford At Blue Lagoon, the Class A corporate office park near Miami International Airport.
The Airbus Americas office in the nine-story 5201 Waterford building will support sales operations for the global aviation company.
Financial terms of the transaction, brokered by Steve Smith, vice president of The Hogan Group, were not disclosed. Catarina Jimenez of Jones Lang LaSalle represented Airbus Americas.
Waterford At Blue Lagoon is located on 250 acres with numerous Class A corporate office buildings, world-class hotels and 1.4 million square feet of office space.
With the Airbus Americas transaction and other recent leases with companies including Ricoh Americas, TW Telecom and others, Waterford is 93 percent leased. Ricoh Americas renewed 6,000 square feet at 703 Waterford Way and TW Telecom leased 5,700 square feet at 5200 Waterford Way. In addition, FedEx Corp. signed a 75,000-square-foot office lease renewal last month at the 701 Waterford building.
“The South Florida commercial real estate market continues to be strong,” Smith said. “The region’s great global appeal, along with numerous high-quality properties, has given us the ongoing opportunity to attract and serve important companies and employers from around the world.”
Hogan represents Waterford’s owner, New York-based financial services firm TIAA-CREF, in all transactions for the property.
