Avison Young, Blanca Awarded New Assignments

Avison Young has been selected as the exclusive agent for the sale of the Plantation Technology Park. The two-building portfolio spans 75,268 square feet and is located at 1850 NW 69^th Avenue and 6600 NW 16^th Street in Plantation. David Duckworth, Vice President of Investment Sales with Avison Young, will market the buildings on behalf of the ownership, Matecumbe Rand LLC.
The two building portfolio located in the Plantation Technology Park is currently 100% occupied. The asset, which can be purchased as a singular or two-building portfolio, is home to a world-class biotech company occupying the majority of the 1850 building under a long-term lease, while the 6600 building presents a value add opportunity.
Plantation Technology Park was established in 1948 as the first industrial park in Broward County. The Park is comprised of approximately 160 acres located in the northeastern section of the City of Plantation. The area is home to Motorola Mobility Inc.’s 1 million sq. ft. headquarters facility and it is conveniently located near the Florida Turnpike, Sunrise Boulevard, and bordering the city of Fort Lauderdale.
Miami-based commercial real estate brokerage and advisory firm Blanca Commercial Real Estate has been tapped as the exclusive leasing agent for the only new office building currently under construction in Miami’s Airport West submarket: Doral Park Centre Office Building. Currently nearing completion, the Class A office building will open to tenants in the first quarter of 2014. Located at the intersection of Doral Boulevard and NW 107 Avenue, near the entrance to Florida’s Turnpike, the property is comprised of 60,000 square feet of office space and 20,000 square feet of ground floor retail space.
Blanca Commercial Real Estate Executive Vice President Juan Ruiz will lead the marketing and leasing for Doral Park Centre.
Doral Park Centre is a 200,000 square foot mixed-use project comprised of one office building, three hotels and one retail building. Approximately 35,000 square feet of office and retail space has already been leased to tenants including First Bank of Florida, San Ignacio College, PakMail, Flossme Dental Services and Coloring Dreams Day Care. The mixed-use project is also home to several retailers, including EVO’s, Amaize, Orange Theory Fitness, NY Bagel Café & Deli, Firehouse Subs and Beauty Bar 107 salon. Available for lease in the office tower is approximately 50,000 square feet.
