CBRE facilitated the sale of the Johnson & Wales University – North Miami Campus, a 19-building property totaling more than 475,000 sq. ft. located along Biscayne Boulevard in North Miami.
The transaction closed on Friday, July 9.
The sale is a collaboration between CBRE’s South Florida Capital Markets team and CBRE’s Public Institution and Education Solutions Group (PIES). Locally based CBRE brokers David Wigoda, and Sean R. Kelly, along with Nina Farrell, Lee Ann Korst, and Tess Fleming of PIES represented the seller in the deal.
“The JWU North Miami Campus was a unique opportunity to purchase a variety of properties on a large amount of acreage in a highly developed and growing area,” said Mr. Wigoda, a Senior Vice President at CBRE. “Investors were impressed with the well-maintained buildings and its prime location.”
Located in North Miami, the Johnson & Wales University-North Miami Campus is strategically placed between the Fort Lauderdale and Miami metro areas. The campus is set on 25 acres and consists of multifamily, office, and specialty use buildings. Additionally, it includes one parking garage and four surface parking lots. The campus is within walking distance to beaches, parklands, and numerous retail amenities.
