Commercial and residential real estate veteran Melissa Donnahoe has launched her own brokerage firm.
Royal Empire Realty, powered by SELLSTATE, will focus on helping investors leverage their time and money through the firm’s professionals’ experience, education, and online resources.

Many of the multi-family investors we work with struggle with feeling like they are going at it alone without support, investing greater amounts of time for smaller returns. As investors ourselves, we understand the resources needed to buy, sell, and maintain properties.”
Donnahoe began her real estate career working as a paralegal at a real estate law firm. Her time was spent reviewing contracts for accuracy, ordering lien searches, curing title defects, and negotiating liens with the city. This up-close experience with the legal workings of the real estate world gave her an important context for negotiating deals
She has been involved with hundreds of real estate transactions, representing buyers, sellers, investors and tenants in both residential and commercial real estate.
Donnahoe maintains certifications in e-Pro-NAR’s e-PRO® certification program that helps REALTORS® master the advanced digital marketing techniques of today. With the e-PRO® certification, REALTORS® increase their ability to reach customers, expand their capabilities, and build trust by safeguarding client information. The Short Sales and Foreclosure Resource (SFR®) certification allows REALTORS® to hone the skills that will allow them to help buyers and sellers of distressed properties. She is also certified on both Equator and Resnet, which are two of the largest Short Sale and Foreclosure platforms. In addition, Donnahoe acquired The Real Estate Negotiation Expert (RENE) certification. It is the first and only negotiation credential recognized by the National Association of REALTORS®. It is designed to elevate and enhance negotiating skills so that today’s real estate professionals can play the game to win. I am proud to be C2EX® Endorsed. The CPRES- Certified Probate Real Estate Specialist is earned only by those REALTORS® who take the extra time for continuing education and are sensitive and knowledgeable in the specific areas of Probate, Trusts, Conservatory, and Guardianship. Most of these certifications require continuing education to keep up with the ever-changing world of real estate.
Donnahoe is also currently a Certified Commercial Investment Member (CCIM) candidate and is taking classes towards her designation. The CCIM designation demonstrates that the designee has completed advanced coursework in financial and market analysis and demonstrated extensive experience in the commercial real estate industry. She serves as the Treasurer for the Florida CCIM East Coast District.
Donnahoe is a member of the Realtors® Commercial Alliance (RCA) of Broward, Palm Beaches and St. Lucie, a member of the Coral Springs and Coconut Creek Chambers of Commerce, the Women’s National Chamber of Commerce, the Coral Springs Governance Committee, and the National Women’s Council of Realtors. She also sits on the Florida Real Estate Commercial Alliance Committee and the Directors Board and is a graduate of the CRE Mastery Academy.
