Sperry Van Ness Brokers '3-Peat' Sale Of Coral Gables
Sperry Van Ness Commercial Realty Senior Advisor John C. Lonardo, CCIM has brokered the sale of Merrick Plaza, an office building in Coral Gables, for the third time.
Lonardo represented the buyer in 2001 for $7,250,000 and again in 2004 for $11,250,000. This time, the property sold for $14,000,000.
In the latest transaction, Lonardo represented the seller, 1607 Ponce, LLP.
Merrick Plaza is located at 2199 Ponce de Leon Blvd., at the corner of Ponce de Leon Blvd and Alhambra Circle, in the heart of the Coral Gables financial/business district.
The buyer, Aquarius Capital, LLC, managed by Paul J. Cejas, plans to use the property for the corporate offices of Ascendant Commercial Insurance.
Tere Blanca, founder, president and chief executive officer of Blanca Commercial Real Estate, Inc., represented the buyer in the sale.
