Cushman & Wakefield Arranges 34,000 SF Office Lease In Broward
Cushman & Wakefield arranged a 33,827-square-foot, long-term lease for MSC Cruises USA at BayView Corporate Tower.
The Geneva-based global cruise line will occupy the sixth floor to house its finance, outbound sales, IT, and human resource teams. It will be relocating from another building in Fort Lauderdale and expand its footprint by approximately 15,000 square feet in their new space.
The lease at BayView Corporate Tower expands the company’s presence in South Florida, building momentum ahead of the opening of its North American Cruise Division Headquarters at Block 55 in Downtown Miami’s Sawyer’s Walk development.
Cushman & Wakefield’s Deanna Lobinsky and Chase Kulp represented landlord, Somerset Properties and its equity partners, while Alan Kleber, Tyler Reynolds and Scott Quick represented the tenant, MSC Cruises USA.
“Our data shows that this is the largest lease transaction in the Cypress Creek submarket (Fort Lauderdale’s Uptown area) in the past 12 months, and it’s a positive sign that major tenants in Broward continue to seek high-end, well-amenitized properties for their operations and employees,” said Kulp, Senior Director at Cushman & Wakefield.
Situated at 6451 North Federal Highway, BayView Corporate Tower totals approximately 413,000 square feet and rests in the heart of the thriving Cypress Creek submarket in Fort Lauderdale. This highly visible and distinctive landmark is along North Federal Highway, also known as U.S. 1, which is one of the most well-travelled and commerce-friendly corridors in the eastern U.S. The office building is also accessible to the entire South Florida region via Interstate 95, Florida’s Turnpike, Interstate 595 and is minutes from Fort Lauderdale/Hollywood International Airport.
BayView Corporate Tower’s lobby, common area and exterior was recently enhanced as part of an ongoing renovation program that began in 2019.
