JLL Strengthens Retail Division With Addition Of Senior VP

JLL announced the hiring of Jonathan Rosen as a Senior Vice President. In this role, Rosen will represent both institutional and local landlords to develop and execute effective leasing strategies. Rosen will work with national and regional tenants expanding throughout South Florida to strategically secure and negotiate ideal locations for their business’ success. He will be based in the company’s Miami office.

As one of the industry’s top rising stars, Rosen has already established a significant portfolio representing high-profile clients such as The Related Group, Rockpoint, and Continuum Companies. His work has taken him all throughout South Florida with an emphasis on submarkets including Brickell, Downtown Miami, Miami Beach, Wynwood, Coral Gables, Coconut Grove, Fort Lauderdale, and West Palm Beach, amongst others.

“As the South Florida retail market continues to experience significant demand from brands and concepts looking to enter or expand in the region, the timing was right to bring on an experienced retail broker like Rosen,” said Rod Barnes, JLL Market Director for South Florida. “His vast knowledge of the local retail scene and deep understanding of market trends will only heighten our retail brokerage team’s ability to provide best-in-class services to our growing client base.”

Prior to joining JLL, Rosen began his career in property management with Colliers before moving into retail brokerage with past positions held at Colliers, CBRE, and JLL over the past eight years.

Rosen is a native of South Florida and graduated from Florida State University with a bachelor’s degree in criminology. He is an active member in the local community, including having founded the popular South Florida based networking group FORE (Future of Real Estate), which welcomes hundreds of professionals in the commercial real estate industry at their quarterly events. Rosen also recently served as Co-Chairman of Tomorrow’s Leaders for the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation, winning its 2021 Top 40 Under 40 Award, was the youngest person selected for Brickell Magazine’s Top 20 Under 40 in 2021, and has held numerous fundraisers for the Habitat for Humanity and for the victims of the Stoneman Douglas tragedy.

According to JLL’s 2023 Florida Retail Report, strong migration into the state coupled with all-time highs in tourist spending have fueled incredible retail demand across the state and particularly in South Florida where the average occupancy rate is 96.2% and rental rates are at all-time highs.
