Law Firm Signs Full Floor Lease
Southeast Financial Center announced today that DLA Piper has signed a new, long-term lease at the building for 22,567 square feet, taking the entire 25th floor.
Nearly 8 months after DLA Piper entered the Miami market with a short-term lease at the building, this new transaction marks the solidification of the international firm’s commitment to the region.
“The expansion of DLA Piper into Miami represents one of several significant new-to-market tenants, which is indicative of an improving business economy,” said Donald Cartwright, Senior Vice President with Jones Lang LaSalle. Mr. Cartwright along with Jones Lang LaSalle Vice President Nicole Vassilaros are the exclusive leasing agents for Southeast Financial Center.
DLA Piper, one of the world’s largest law firms, has 4,200 lawyers in offices throughout Asia Pacific, Europe, the Middle East and the United States and represents more clients in a broader range of geographies and practice disciplines than any other law firm in the world.
“DLA Piper saw an opportunity in Miami and acted quickly, acquiring a full floor at Southeast Financial Center as a short-term lease,” continued Mr. Cartwright. “Our ability to initially work with the tenant to ensure their business and technological requirements were met in a short window, set the groundwork for a long-term play.”
