Lincoln Road District Welcomes Seven New Concepts, Set To Open Another Seven Restaurants, Shops

As Miami Beach continues to experience business migration and the return of international visitors, the Lincoln Road District reports drawing over 7.8 million visits over the past year, demonstrating a strong post-pandemic recovery in foot traffic. The District is welcoming seven new restaurants and retailers, including Playa, Issabella’s, Pollos & Jarras and Pure, and prepares for the arrival of another seven concepts, such as YOYOSO, Andres Carne de Res, The Cheesecake Factory, and Tacombi, over the coming months.

The Lincoln Road District continues to lead as one of South Florida’s most visited destinations, signaling how it is well on its way to rebound to the roughly 11 million visits achieved pre-pandemic. Over the past year, from January 2021 to January 2022, approximately 7.8 million visits were tracked on Lincoln Road, according to Placer.ai, an analytics platform that provides mobile location data. The foot traffic was mainly comprised of locals and tourists given that the meeting and convention business at the Miami Beach Convention Center was minimal during this period. The Lincoln Road District achieved the highest visit count in comparison to other high-profile destinations in South Florida, including Miami Design District with 4.1 million, Brickell City Centre at 3.9 million, and Wynwood’s Second Avenue corridor with 3.7 million, the Placer .ai data shows.

Over the past two years, the Lincoln Road District has invested in creating partnerships to make the destination more appealing to locals and visitors, contributing to its strong rebound in foot traffic. This effort has included collaborating with the New World Symphony on a live outdoor concert series, partnering with the South Beach Wine & Food Festival (SOBEWFF) to launch the Artisan Market on Lincoln Road featuring local culinary talent now in its second year, and adding outdoor fitness programming including yoga, bootcamp and Zumba led by top local instructors.

“From exceptional culinary offerings and contemporary retailers to an array of arts and cultural activations – the Lincoln Road District continues to create unique experiences that attract visitors and locals alike,” said Lyle Stern, President of the Lincoln Road Business Improvement District (BID) and President of Koniver Stern Group. “Retailers and restaurants are choosing Lincoln Road because of its iconic significance, the destination’s strong recovery from the pandemic and the unique partnerships we have developed. With visitation reaching almost eight million over the past year, every new addition to the District will further enhance our dining, shopping and cultural offerings to keep residents and visitors returning to Lincoln Road.”

With a growing retail and restaurant scene, the Lincoln Road District announces the much-anticipated opening of globally recognized retailer YOYOSO on the 1100 block that will occupy 5,600 square feet, an Asian fast fashion and leisure brand with over 800 stores worldwide. As a result of its success on Lincoln Road, the popular athletic apparel retailer Lululemon is opening a larger space on the 800 block.

The Lincoln Road District will also welcome an additional six eateries that will include Andrés Carne de Res, Colombia’s most popular restaurant known for combining authentic cuisine and theatrical moments to create an elevated dining experience for patrons of all ages that will occupy 14,000 square feet at 455 Lincoln Road; the popular national brand The Cheesecake Factory signed a 7,000-square-foot lease to occupy 600 Lincoln Road with plans to open this fall; the highly awaited opening of Tacombi, the traditional Mexican taqueria expanding from New York, situated at 1688 Meridian Ave; Mediterranean concept Baklava, Inc. set to open at 618 Lincoln Road;  authentic Italian pizzeria Napul É Pizzeria Ristorante located at 607 Lincoln Road; and the classic Italian restaurant Romina’s Ristorante Italiano at 833 Lincoln Road.
