NAI Miami’s Larkin, Gallaher Engaged to Sell Iconic Building In Wynwood

Kenny Sager and Barry Burke of Austin Burke Clothiers say its time to sell the building.

The owners of Austin Burke Clothiers believe it’s time to capitalize on the rapid growth in property values in Wynwood and have decided to sell their building, the iconic Austin Burke Clothiers Building.

This redevelopment opportunity is not a means to end of the Austin Burke Clothiers or Kenny Sager’s radio legacy. Rather, it is an opportunity for the owners to generate a return on the real estate and find a new, improved location to serve their clientele.

Kenny Sager stated he was looking forward to a modern location, closer to his clients designed to today’s technological capabilities.  Most important, he told us the eventual relocation sale is going to be “Amazing; with nothing held back.”

“Life truly comes back full circle,” Jeremy Larkin said. “I remember when I was younger first seeing and hearing the loud Austin Burke radio commercials, and now I am facilitating the sale of the Austin Burke Clothiers Building.”

South Florida has been home to Austin Burke’s services since 1945, where Sager and Burke entered the forefront of the Men’s clothing and fashion industry and remains today. People view Austin Burke as a trusted institution rather than just a store to buy suits or ties. They have clothed major names such as Hall of Famer Warren Sapp, the late Burt Reynolds, Drew Rosenhaus, the Miami Vice TV Show, and many more.

The building has seen booming business for the last fifty years, but now the business is planning to serve their clientele elsewhere as a strategic business move. Brokers Jeremy Larkin and Joe Gallaher of NAI Miami are taking great pride in facilitating the sale of the Austin Burke building in the coveted Wynwood area.  The building, built in 1967, features:

  • 39-acre lot redevelopment site for sale fronting 1-95 in Wynwood.
  • Developable to up to 6 – 8 stories with a total of 168,000 square feet.
  • Fronting I-95 with a daily traffic count of 250,787 vehicles.
  • Can accommodate an 8-story, 163,000 SF building.
  • Zoned D-1, City of Miami, Florida
