Wynwood’s Austin Burke Clothiers Building Sells

NAI Miami | Fort Lauderdale‘s Jeremy S. Larkin and Joseph R. Gallaher represented the owner of the Austin Burke of Florida building, The Little Old Real Estate Company, in its sale to James Curnin, CEO and founder of Clara Homes, who was represented by Jordan Karp.

The 16,800-square-foot property located at 2601 NW 6th Avenue, in Miami, has an 11,434-square-foot retail building which is home to fine men’s clothing retailer, Austin Burke. The property sold for $7,700,000.

“We were thrilled to work with our client to craft a deal that maximizes value and allows them to continue to operate at this location for at least another year,” said Larkin. “This gives us plenty of time to find a new location to move their operations to continue serving their clients.”

Located in Miami’s Wynwood neighborhood, facing Interstate 95, the building has been home to Austin Burke for over 50 years. The buyer previously stated they intend to develop 152 apartments, ground floor retail space, valet service, and a rooftop padel court.

“It was time to set in motion our plan to move to a better location with modern facilities, better parking and closer to our customers,” stated Ken Sager and Barry Burke of Austin Burke. “I have time to find the best location, with the best parking, and can build the best store to improve my customer’s shopping experience. I hope to announce the new location by the end of the summer.”
