Sky Zone Inks 27,000 SF Lease

Koreena Rivers, Vice President of  Morris Southeast Group/CORFAC International represented a Sky Zone franchisee in securing a 27,312-square-foot industrial  lease at 1834 SW 2nd Street in Pompano Beach.
Duke Realty Corp. owns the property and holds the multi-year lease. Financial terms were not disclosed.
Sky Zone Fort Lauderdale will operate a trampoline park at the facility. Franchisor Sky Zone calls itself “the world’s first all-trampoline-walled playing field” and franchises its entertainment centers to entrepreneurs throughout the United States, Canada, Mexico, Australia and New Zealand.
The company marked its entry into the South Florida market, with a deal for 32,000 square feet in Miami in April, 2012.
From a real estate perspective, interior space for trampoline parks must have abundant clear heights and wide spacing of structural-support columns.
According to Rivers, trampoline parks are becoming increasingly popular as an activity-oriented form of entertainment and exercise.
“It was a pleasure helping the franchise owners’ find the ideal space for Sky Zone Fort Lauderdale,” she said. “We were careful to identify a location that would appeal to the wide variety of visitors that Sky Zone is sure to draw — from the birthday party goers to the fitness fanatics of all ages.”
