Transwestern Bolsters South Florida Industrial Team

Carlos Gaviria has joined Transwestern’s Miami office as an Associate within the South Florida industrial team comprised of Walter Byrd, Managing Director, Ben Eisenberg, Managing Director, and Thomas Kresse, Senior Vice President.
On the heels of 1.2 million square feet of transactions which were completed by the team in 2011, they sought to bolster their ability to service an expanding client base. “We continue to methodically hire key brokers to enhance our clients’ initiatives and service our industrial portfolio,” said Mr. Byrd.
The team’s current South Florida overall industrial portfolio encompasses more than 8 million square feet and includes a mix of institutional and large scale owners such as Cabot Properties, RREEF, Seagis Property Group, Clarion and DCT Industrial.
Mr. Gaviria, who entered the real estate industry in 2009, brings with him involvement in more than 400,000 square feet of leases and sales transactions and bringing a 50,000 square foot business park from 50 to 95 percent occupancy in under one year. He spent just over 2 years as a Sales Associate at Metro 1 Properties Inc.
