Transwestern Completes 95,000 SF Lease

Transwestern’s South Florida office today announced the signing of a 95,000 square foot new long-term lease at Miami International Distribution Center, a warehouse distribution center located just west of Miami International Airport at 2003 NW 70th Avenue in Miami.
Thomas Kresse, Senior Vice President, along with his partners, Walter Byrd and Ben Eisenberg, Managing Directors of Transwestern’s South Florida offices, completed the transaction on behalf of the landlord, DCT Industrial.
The new transaction brings DCT Industrial’s 215,000 square foot distribution center to 100 percent occupancy. This is the seventh property Transwestern’s Miami-based industrial team has brought to full occupancy in the last year.
“This property’s location (less than 1/4 mile from Miami International Airport’s cargo facilities) coupled with the installation of state-of-the-art cooler equipment makes it the ideal building for any company that distributes perishable goods such as produce or flowers. Sunshine Bouquet appreciated and valued these attributes and committed to a long-term lease at the property,” said Mr. Kresse.
Sunshine Bouquet is a supplier of fresh cut flowers for the mass market from locations in New Jersey, North Carolina, Bogota, and Miami.
DCT Industrial Trust Inc. is a leading real estate company specializing in the acquisition, development, leasing and management of bulk distribution and light industrial properties located in high-volume distribution markets in the United States and Mexico.
