Waste Connections Buys Miami Gardens Truck Terminal For $51 Million

Waste Connections has purchased a truck terminal in Miami Gardens from CenterPoint Properties for $51 million.

The nearly 12-acre industrial property is located at 17707 Northwest Miami Court, along Interstate 95 and just north of its interchange with Florida’s Turnpike. The site includes approximately 370 truck parking spaces and a 3,786-square-foot support building.

Waste Connections, a Texas-based provider of waste collection, recycling and disposal services, closed on the acquisition June 25. Kyle Retamar, Samantha Melice and Chloe Pepitone of Sutter & Nugent represented the buyer in the transaction.

CenterPoint acquired the property for $47.5 million in 2022, according to property records.

The transaction represents CenterPoint’s second disposition of a Miami-Dade County trucking facility within the past year. In October, the company sold a 17-acre site near Miami International Airport to truck parking and logistics operator Outpost for $52 million.

The Miami Gardens sale also reflects continued demand for industrial outdoor storage properties capable of accommodating trucks, equipment and other fleet-based operations. Large sites with extensive parking and convenient highway access remain especially valuable in South Florida, where suitable industrial land is increasingly scarce.
